Tasked with a complete redesign and renovation of this expansive lateral condominium, our designers set out to craft a home that feels both inviting and quietly elegant, a reflection of our clients’ deep appreciation for oriental culture and their love for books.
The result is a Modern Rustic and Oriental Fusion, where warm, tactile materials meet refined cultural references. Anchoring the narrative are statement pieces such as the iconic Qin Dynasty foot soldier, alongside a striking red door. A contemporary reinterpretation of the traditional palace doors once associated with the Qin Emperor.
These elements are not merely decorative, but intentional touchpoints that weave heritage into a modern living environment, creating a home that feels layered, personal, and timeless.
Design Highlights
As both homeowners are lawyers with an extensive collection of books gathered over the years, a dedicated space to house their library was essential. In response, our designers crafted a wide, black spray-painted bookshelf that spans the wall, complete with a vintage roller ladder. A subtle nod to classic libraries, while adding both function and character to the space.
Complementing their lifestyle further, the home also features a bespoke mini bar wall designed for their appreciation of fine wines and aged spirits. Clad in natural stained brick, this feature introduces warmth and texture, while providing an elegant display and storage solution that feels both refined and inviting.
